There are multiple sororities on hand in this blog but there is a Tri Sigma section. While it is not the most focused on my exact organization, it is still the same idea. I found it helpful to look through the blog because it has ideas that are actually useful for things that I need on a public relations basis. There are photo and caption examples, a style guide for images that a chapter could be trying to accomplish. While there isn't a lot on the actual Tri Sigma portion, I was able to explore the blog (even do a little online shopping off of it) and learn new ideas.

This blog is not what I expected AT ALL. I saw that it was for a specific university, so I automatically wasn't too interested in it just because I thought it would be too narrow focused. It turns out this is actually one of the better blogs relating to Tri Sigma/sorority life that I have found, at least in a visual sense. It is simple but the pictures look mostly professionally taken, there is up to date music playing in the background, and I was able to get new ideas for social media possibilities! There were easy tabs near the top that linked to their other social media such as Instagram and Twitter which I liked because it made creeping on them a little easier. All of their posts are timely and up to date which shows dedication to their social media. All in all, I will be following this blog for months to come.

This one is a little different than the previous two blogs. Those were more frilly and happy while Huffington Post is more of a news site. I included this because the Greek life section is so diverse and even hard hitting. While sorority life is usually full of glitter and unnaturally white teeth most of the time, there are also issues and complications that need to be talked about. Some of the current topics leading the site are hazing injuries, ethnic debates, and even why some schools want to abolish Greek life. My inner crazy journalist loves this site because of the fact that it involves news and greek life (the two things that consume my every day life) but people really should consider this "blog" when looking into all sides of sororities. The world today is all about being fair and balanced, so why not approach the good and the bad/controversial?

This blog is your typical glitter and white teeth blog that I talked about earlier. If you want tips on what to wear, makeup brands for humidity, or even the difference between a University of Kentucky recruitment and a University of Southern California recruitment, then this is your one stop shop. If you need a new diet and exercise routine, go to this blog. If you need to know how to beat the summer blues, go to this blog. I love this blog for a whole different reason than the Huffington Post one. In this one I can find tips on ridiculous things like which type of glitter works best to stick to your leg as compared to sticking to fabric. Oddly enough, I actually did need an answer to that question about two weeks ago! I would high recommend that all sorority members check this blog for future needs.

This is another glitter and white teeth blog BUT it is informational for newbies considering going through the recruitment process who have a million and one questions. The girl who writes it is actually a senior portrait photographer who noticed how often girls were asking her if she had been in a sorority and what they should expect. In this blog, one can find posts about what not to talk about when in a sorority rush party or if heels really are the best choice for that outfit if you're going to be wearing it for ten or more hours. The writing is so laid back and not preachy or demeaning, so it is comforting for those nervous about recruitment.
Most of these blogs have that same shiny polished look that every sorority girl strives to achieve, but with that comes ease. The girls reading these blogs are usually public relations chairs looking for inspiration or a new member wondering what to wear on initiation. While all of these are mostly the same, Tri Sigma can benefit from them by experimenting with new post options and ideas.
